Recruitment & Training Programmes

Geoplex Wireline only recruits indigenous Engineers and Technicians. On special occasions however, Foreign Expatriates are invited to supervise special or new Tools/Equipment with the intention of passing direct experience to our indigenous personnel.

All Geoplex Engineers and technicians are trained on tools and equipment at the training facilities of SONDEX and Elmar in the United Kingdom. The comprehensive training program covers all aspects of our operations, tools and equipment.

Academic courses such as Physics and Principles of Production Logging tools as well as on hand practical training are taught. Various simulations and troubleshooting exercises are performed to teach all possible field failures and steps to take to remedy them.

Geoplex-Wireline also enjoys a 24 hours access to the Technical support team of our original equipment manufacturers, SONDEX and Elmar-Vetco of UK. SONDEX staff will advise on all aspects of the tool operation and maintenance.  Many have oil field operational experience and respond with the speed expected by the industry.  SONDEX customer service department keeps Geoplex Wireline informed of tool issues, software status and other important operational issues.  SONDEX in house PL expert do provide advice on pre and post job planning and give support on sensor response when requested.

SONDEX field staffs have over a 100 man years in the logging business with a significant percentage of that time spent in the West Africa region. Their personnel are also available to us at all times for invitation to Nigeria either for training, marketing or direct field operations support purposes.

Future Recruitment Plans

The year 2006 will be a very busy year for Geoplex Wireline. We therefore plan to undergo an aggressive recruitment program. The planned schedule and recruitment requirements are not completed yet, but will be posted on this site as soon as they are.
